Searchmetrics alternatives in 2026

Searchmetrics was absorbed into Conductor
There is no Searchmetrics to buy. Conductor acquired it in February 2023, taking on more than 500 customers, around 70 staff and ten years of data indexes, and said at the time that the Searchmetrics brand would sunset in time. searchmetrics.com now 301-redirects to conductor.com, so the product behind this search is not available at any price.
Existing Searchmetrics customers were folded into Conductor, which is where their accounts and the acquired historical indexes live. The Visibility Score that Searchmetrics was best known for is no longer sold as a standalone product metric, so a report built around that number cannot be reproduced by signing up somewhere.
The practical problem for anyone arriving here is the price shape of the successor. Conductor is quote-only enterprise pricing with no public number, so the mid-market buyers who picked Searchmetrics precisely because it sat below enterprise cannot self-serve a replacement there. That is the real gap to shop for: a tool with published pricing that covers the part of Searchmetrics you actually opened each week, which for most teams was visibility and position tracking rather than the whole enterprise platform.

Which one fits your situation
- If you need
The former Searchmetrics platform and its historical data
PickConductor
WhyConductor acquired the customers, the staff and ten years of Searchmetrics data indexes in February 2023, and it is the only place that continuity exists.
- If you need
A published price you can budget against without a sales call
PickSERPs
WhyConductor is quote-only with no public pricing, while SERPs lists $49, $149 and $299 monthly plans.
- If you need
Ongoing position tracking across a keyword set
PickSERPs
WhyThe Searchmetrics Visibility Score is no longer a standalone product metric, so position tracking has to come from a tool that still sells it on its own.
- If you need
Enterprise content briefs, technical audit and workflow tooling
PickConductor
WhyThat breadth is what Conductor sells, alongside the enterprise services around it. SERPs covers rank tracking, AI answer visibility and site audits, and it has no white-label reporting.
